ankitRoad To Meet His Sister
Today we packed the car and drove Aanvit to to
meet her for the very first time. 🚗 Behind the
scenes, it was equal parts excitement and total
chaos. He insisted on carrying his own little gift
for her the entire way — clutched it so tight I
thought he'd never let go. There were about four
"are we there yet?" moments in the first ten
minutes, one emergency snack stop, and a running
commentary on every truck we passed. But
underneath the chaos was this quiet anticipation,
even from him. Kids feel the weight of big days
even when they can't name them. I kept glancing at
him in the mirror, this boy who made me a father,
on his way to meet the person who'd make him a big
brother. Some car rides you forget by evening.
This one we'll be telling stories about for years.
